Multiple Offers, Increased Demand in January

January was a busy month in terms of nearly everything Real Estate related! More buyers than typical for January were out and about checking out homes, getting rate holds, making inquiries, and writing offers! I witnessed many properties sell in multiple offers after being on the market for 60-90 days. There were many properties, especially in downtown Vancouver, Kitsilano/Point Grey, Cambie, Mount Pleasant & Lower Lonsdale that went into multiple offers and sold well over list price.
Inventory is low, demand is high... prices will likely climb slightly in February because of this. If your thinking of purchasing a home in the near future, now is the time! On the flip side, if you are considering selling a property, inventory is low and well-priced places are selling quickly so get ahold of your trusted Realtor and get your home on the market!
